Turbo Props

Turbo props are a distinct category featuring propeller-driven aircraft. They are known for their versatility, short takeoff and landing capabilities, and fuel efficiency. Turbo props can accommodate 4 to 8 passengers and are suitable for regional flights and accessing airports with shorter runways. Mostly used in the Caribbean. They can be outfitted with pontoons for water take-off and landings.

Very light Jet (VLJ)

VLJ is the smallest category. They are known for being extremely fuel efficient due to their small size and lightweight. They are also approved for single pilot operations. They can seat 4-6 passengers and have a range of 1,000 - 2,000 nautical miles. They are great for short trips, an hour or less, and can land on shorter runways.

Aircraft Type

Light Jets

Light jets are the next smallest category and are known for their agility and efficiency. They typically accommodate 6 to 8 passengers and have a range of approximately 1,000 to 1,800 nautical miles. Light jets are ideal for 3-4 hour flights and are cost-effective for small groups or individuals. They have a small luggage capacity, .75 cubic meters (one carry-on-sized luggage per pax).

  • Hawker 400 (Beechjet 400)

  • Nextant 400xti

  • Citation CJ2 and Citation CJ3 (CJ3 is the newer version of CJ2)

  • Citation Ultra and Encore (Encore is the new version of the Ultra)

Super light Jets (Newer category of jet)

Super light jets offer enhanced size, range, and comfort compared with the light jet class. With a more spacious cabin and luggage compartment, super light jets can accommodate an average of eight passengers and have a range of up to 2,000 nautical miles.

Midsize Jets

Midsize jets offer a step up in terms of cabin space, range, and performance. They can typically accommodate 7 to 9 passengers and have a range of around 2,500 to 3,500 nautical miles. Midsize jets are suitable for longer 4-6 hour flights while still providing flexibility to access smaller airports. Luggage capacity for checked luggage.

Super Midsize Jets

Super midsize jets offer increased cabin space, longer range, and enhanced amenities. With seating for 8 to 9 passengers, they can cover distances of 3,000 to 4,500 nautical miles. These jets are well-suited for transcontinental flights of up to 7 hours and provide a balance between comfort and efficiency.

  •  Falcon 50 and 50EX (50EX is the newer 50)

Heavy Jets

Heavy jets are characterized by their spacious interiors and long-range capabilities. They can typically accommodate 10 to 16 passengers (max pax 18) and have a range of 4,000 to 6,000 nautical miles. Heavy jets are suitable for intercontinental travel and often feature luxurious amenities. Flight attendants are always included on heavy jets per regulation. They generally will have lay-flat seats and will have a combination of captain chairs and benches. They have a large luggage capacity, check-sized luggage suitable.

Ultra-Long-Range Jets

Ultra-long-range jets are designed for extended non-stop flights, making them ideal for intercontinental travel. With a range of 7,700 nautical miles or more, they can cover significant distances without the need for refueling. These jets often feature the highest level of comfort and luxury.
